Position Announcement

Bookkeeper (Part-time)



This is a part-time position housed at the Ingham Conservation District in Mason that will support administrative operations at both Ingham and Clinton Conservation District. The candidate will work 30 hours per week during normal ICD business hours of Monday –Friday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm with occasional evening and weekend hours for board meetings and special events.



  • Bookkeeping responsibilities will include payroll, accounts payable and receivable, liabilities and taxes
  • Work with Ingham Conservation District Executive Director to create an Annual Budget
  • Arrange annual audits and coordinate with, and prepare documents for, outside auditors
  • General office duties at the Ingham office will include answering the phone, ordering office supplies, mailings and maintaining files and records
  • Prepare financial reports for monthly board meetings
  • Assist with special events including Spring and Fall Tree sales and Annual Meeting
  • Assist customers with tree sale, firewood and hunting lease payments



  • S. Diploma
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Pro and/or Non-profit edition – minimum 2 years experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and Google Products - including Word, Excel, Publisher, Google Sheets
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organized
  • An interest in natural resource conservation is desirable



Starting hourly rate of $15.00 per hour, plus benefit stipend.
